4 YEARS OF A ROLLER -COASTER RIDE, AND I FINALLY MADE IT! 🎓

I am so proud that I’m finally graduating from my dream UNIVERSITY (Jimma, Ethiopia). You will always be my home, and I will always be proud.

To my family, parents, uncles, aunts, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, and the rest of my family, thank you for believing in me and letting me shine on my own. I will always be grateful for your unending support and sacrifices. Now it’s my time to finally repay you guys.

To my guardian ,Hon. Listen to Children’s Voices: Protect our future!

On the Day of the African Child celebration 2024, children from different parts of South Sudan gathered in a children’s symposium titled "Listen to our voices. Protect our future!" organised by the Joining Forces alliance members - Save the Children, Plan International, World Vision, together with the Child Rights Coalition.

The hybrid forum brought children from across the country together in person and online to raise various issues and challenges they face and discuss how these should be addressed. The forum aimed to provide children with a platform to voice their concerns and bring those to decision-makers and duty-bearers.

The theme for DAC 2024, as determined by the African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACERWC), is Education for all children in Africa (South Sudan): the time is now. It is aligned with the 2024 AU theme, Educate an African fit for the 21st Century: Building resilient education systems for increased access to inclusive, lifelong, quality, and relevant learning in Africa.
