Legal Aid Lawyers are the back-bone in the dispensation of jistice within the territory of Simaliland for advancement of justice rule of law. However, the term: justice herein is a very wide term and it may lead to a philosophical point of view.
In Somaliland, legal aid Lawyers were few in number in the past but in recent time, legal aid lawyers are increasing time after time due to the various reason including but not limited to the following:

1). people now understand the role of lawyers in dispensation of justice.

2). The Rule of law in Somaliland is prevailing in the country.

3). The Constitution Somaliland guarantees a right to have a lawyer when a person deprived of his/her liberty.

4). Faculties of law in Somaliland universities have contributed great roles in producing high caliber legal professionals that are being injected in to the judiciary and justice system in somaliland.

5). justice/judicial reform strategy has drastically improved the role of legal aid lawyers in the administration of justice.
