Completion days are always a joy to witness, whether I’m representing sellers or buyers.

Serving Mr & Mrs Quah has been a pleasure. Both myself and Ivy can agree - they are one of the best clients we have both served in our real estate career.

They were upgrading to their private property and it was a relatively challenging one as we had to help them sell within a tight timeline of abt 3 months only, amidst a slow HDB market. But still, we waited for the right buyer. Never once did they pressure us. And yet every viewing, we were blessed with food and drinks for our efforts.

They were the first owners of a 4-room in Bukit Panjang and have stayed there for >20 years. Understandably, this family home was hard to let go of especially for the children.

When the right viewer came along, somehow, I could tell during the viewing that they would find renewed meaning in the house as much as it had been for the Quahs. And true enough, our wait presented us with the lucky new owners who were just as lovely.

This content resonates with me. I was in the same position once when my BTO hit MOP. Back then, I was still working 9-5 and didn’t know where to start. But, I was sure the moment we hit MOP that it was the best time to move in order to unlock our BTO proceeds and with a No.2 on the way. While “guiding” my non-RE trained hub (ahem!), we upgraded to EM (even though condo was an option back then but I wasn’t prepared for the financial commitment) and now it’s our stepping stone into the private market. The right timing and route truly differ for everyone.
