Recognized by the global society as a trusted institution for advancing sustainable development initiatives, SEIA strives to empower the development of an inclusive, resilient and sustainable community by engaging relevant stakeholders of all sectors -business, government, academic and civil society- in collaborative efforts (from dialogue to action) to address and overcome key challenges of the 2
1st century. In partnership with the Penang State Government and Beijing International Exchange Association – Sustainable Development Committee, SEIA has co-constituted the Penang Hanwang Sustainable Development International Convention –a permanent platform for converging Chinese and international stakeholders, elites and governmental leaders in high-level meeting and co-operative agendas- to strategically deepen cultural and economic ties between ASEAN, China, Europe and UK. The 2015 Hanwang Penang Sustainable Development International Convention: “One Belt One Road & ASEAN Economic Community” will be held on 17th -18th September 2015 at G Hotel, Penang, Malaysia. Over the years, SEIA has also established close partnerships with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Beijing International Exchange Association – Sustainable Development Committee, Hanwang Forum, Sage International, Hua Dao International Foundation, Chiniya Lama Boudha Foundation and Fundación VanderLinde to advocate and enable global sustainable development initiatives.
