Police investigating death of maid who fell at Bedok condo

Police are investigating the unnatural death of a maid who jumped to her death on Monday morning.

Police said they received a call at 8.02am requesting assistance along Bedok Reservoir View.

They found the body of a woman lying motionless at the location. She was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.

The woman is believed to be Palwinder Kaur, a maid who worked for one of the residents at Aquarius by the Park.

According to reports, the maid allegedly attacked her employer with a hammer before she jumped.

The maid was due to be sent back as her employer suspected her of stealing, Shin Min Daily News said.

Her employer was sent to hospital, and recounted how she was attacked to a neighbour, IT consultant Abishek, 40.

He told Shin Min that the maid held her employer's nose and mouth, and hit her head with a hammer.
