☝🏼Dear colleagues, we remind you that by September 30th, every year, to renew your license, you must pay your regular FIFA licence fee and also earn the required number of points in FIFA CPD courses.

👉🏻 We would like to draw the attention of agents licensed in 2023: the CPD course for representing minors is valid for three years. This year (if you completed it in 2023), your certification for representing minors expires, and you must retake the course.

On June 5, our Partner Georgi Gradev and Senior Associate Jakob Strasner from the Sofia office attended the Sports Law Conference, brilliantly organised by the Slovenian Sports Lawyers Association.

⚖️ Georgi had the honour of sharing a panel with two outstanding colleagues: Jacopo Tognon – a renowned CAS arbitrator from Italy, and John Shea – one of the UK’s leading sports lawyers.

💬 The panel tackled one of the hottest topics in football law: liquidated damages and buyout/release clauses – their possible reduction, the limited (or non-existent) role of mitigation and the applicable law governing such clauses in CAS appeal proceedings.

🙏🏻 A huge thank you to the organisers for the warm invitation and for creating such a remarkable platform for dialogue and professional exchange!
