Al Hilal Club, with the legal support of our Sports Legal Team, successfully defended its position in a case following a CAF Champions League match.
The matter was handled through a structured legal approach, based on a detailed understanding of CAF regulations, ensuring the protection of the club’s rights and interests.
This case reflects the growing importance of professional legal support in modern sport, both on and off the field. ⚖️⚽

We’re excited to share that our interns, Eduardo Faria and Brice Belhumeur, recently participated in their first CAS hearings of 2026—another important milestone for our sports arbitration team.

Following Beyza’s debut—who joined JMPM in December—it was now the turn of our “older interns”, Eduardo and Brice, who have been with us since June 2025, to gain this invaluable experience during their internships.

Eduardo, a trainee lawyer from Portugal, brought prior experience in disciplinary proceedings. This marked his first CAS hearing, a significant step in his international development.

Brice, who already had previous exposure to CAS matters, attended his first hearing of 2026, continuing to deepen his practice during his time at JMPM.

Their growth reflects both strong personal commitment and the supportive environment we foster in our arbitration practice.

A special thank-you to Dr. Pedro Macieirinha for his ongoing mentorship and guidance.

A great way to start the year.

We’re proud to share that Beiza, one of our interns, has successfully completed her first CAS trial at JMPM—an important milestone early in her professional journey in sports arbitration.
This experience reflects Beiza’s commitment, preparation, and eagerness to learn, alongside the collaborative environment behind our CAS practice. It’s always rewarding to see young professionals gain hands-on exposure and confidence from day one.
We also extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Joaquim Pizarro and Dr. Pedro Maicierinha for their guidance and support throughout this process.
