Luis Angel Carrión Tavárez has been practicing law since 1995 in the areas of administrative law, insurance and surety Coverage, employment and labor law, banking laws and regulations. His experience includes civil litigation and counseling in the aforementioned areas.Mr. Carrión graduated from the Catholic University of Puerto Rico Law School in May of 1995, with a G.P.A. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico and the courts of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.Mr. Carrión has dictated seminars on banking regulations, securities, money laundering and labor regulations before the Puerto Rico Bar Association and other forums. He has also had an intensive practice in trial, pretrial and discovery matters having conducted and defended a considerable number of trials and depositions.He has conducted lobbying efforts on behalf of his prior employers and worked in the drafting of legislation and has testified before legislative commissions.Before founding Carrión Tavárez Law Offices, Mr. Carrión worked as a partner in Carrion & Sepulvado Law Firm, In House Counsel for Universal Insurance Company and its subsidiaries. He also worked with the Office of the Commissioner of Financial Institutions for the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico were he started as an In House Counsel and became the General Legal Counsel of the agency before his resignation.
