Sergio Ramirez de Arellano

The firm was founded in 1982 by SERGIO RAMIREZ DE ARELLANO, admitted to the Puerto Rico bar in 1979, Puerto Rico; and the U.S. Court of Appeals, First Circuit in 1980. Ramirez received his education at The Wharton School (B.S., 1974), and the Georgetown University Law Center (J.D., 1979). He is also a Certified Public Accountant since 1976. . Bankruptcy Judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Puerto Rico, 1979-1980. He was a Lecturer at the Inter-American University Law School in 1980. He has been a Speaker at the National Business Institute; Puerto Rico College of Certified Public Accountants; and Puerto Rico Bankruptcy Bar Association. Ramírez is a Member of the Puerto Rico and Federal Bar Associations; Puerto Rico Bankruptcy Bar Association; American Bankruptcy Institute; Commercial Law League of America. He is a Certified Specialist, in Business Bankruptcy Law and Consumer Bankruptcy Law, by the American Board of Certification, of which he is a director. The firm has represented Puerto Rico’s largest financial institutions and companies, as well as, stateside entities and law firms.
