🚨 BREAKING LINDSAY CLANCY COURT UPDATE: THE COMMONWEALTH SAYS IT INTENDS TO RETRY LINDSAY, KEVIN REDDINGTON WANTS ANSWERS, AND WE HAVE A NEW COURT DATE! 👀

I have been following Lindsay Clancy's hearing LIVE all morning, and we FINALLY got some answers about what could happen next.

And let me tell you, Kevin Reddington was NOT happy about the idea of dragging this out any longer.

After Judge Sullivan took all THREE motions under advisement, the conversation turned to scheduling a possible second trial.

And this is where things got VERY interesting. Judge Sullivan gave both sides two options.

They could either schedule another status hearing to see how he rules on the pending motions, or they could go ahead and put an actual trial date on the calendar, knowing that it might never happen depending on those rulings.

The Commonwealth went first.

Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Sprague said prosecutors would prefer another status or trial assignment date.

She explained that they wanted to see how Judge Sullivan ruled on the motions and whether either side intended to appeal before scheduling another trial.

Fair enough.

BUT THEN JUDGE SULLIVAN ASKED THE QUESTION WE HAVE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR. 👀

Had the Commonwealth made a decision about how it intended to proceed with Lindsay's case?

And Jennifer Sprague finally gave us an answer.

THE COMMONWEALTH INTENDS TO RETRY LINDSAY CLANCY, DEPENDING ON THE OUTCOME OF THE PENDING MOTIONS.

YES. YOU READ THAT RIGHT.

After weeks of wondering whether Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz would actually pursue another trial, prosecutors have now indicated that a retrial is their intention.

BUT HOLD ON.

Because there's still something we DON'T know.

WHAT CHARGES ARE THEY PLANNING TO PURSUE?!

And Kevin Reddington wanted to know the exact same thing.

🚨 THEN KEVIN GOT UP.

And honestly, after listening to him all morning, I knew he wasn't going to let this conversation end without getting a few things off his chest. 😂

Kevin questioned why the defense STILL doesn't know whether the Commonwealth intends to pursue first-degree murder charges, lesser charges, or potentially no charges at all.

He argued that prosecutors don't need to wait for Judge Sullivan's rulings to make that decision.

And he made a good point about the preparation involved.

How are they supposed to plan another trial, prepare witnesses, and figure out the logistics when they don't even know what charges they're preparing to defend?

BUT THEN KEVIN BROUGHT UP SOMETHING ELSE.

Judge Sullivan's upcoming retirement.

YES, THAT CAME UP TOO.

And here's what I found particularly interesting.

Despite some VERY heated exchanges between Kevin and Sullivan earlier today, Kevin told the judge that he actually WANTS him to preside over Lindsay's next trial.

He made it clear that he would prefer Sullivan to remain the trial judge.

And he wants that trial to happen THIS SPRING.

Not next year.
Not two or three years down the road.
THIS SPRING.

Kevin also discussed the possibility of appeals and indicated that, after speaking with Lindsay, the defense did not intend to pursue an appeal that would delay a retrial over the double jeopardy ruling.

He emphasized how much this case has affected everyone involved.

The attorneys. The court. The families. Everyone.

And he made it very clear that he does NOT want Lindsay sitting in custody for another year, two years, or three years while everyone waits for the Commonwealth to decide how to proceed.

He also pointed out that ultimately, the decision about what charges to pursue rests with District Attorney Tim Cruz.

THE BALL IS IN TIM CRUZ'S COURT.

And Kevin wasn't interested in simply kicking the can down the road with another status hearing.

🚨 SO WHAT DID JUDGE SULLIVAN DECIDE?!

We have a NEW COURT DATE.

NOVEMBER 16, 2026, AT 10:00 AM.

The next hearing is scheduled to take place IN PERSON for a status update and/or trial assignment.

And here's another important detail. Kevin declined a zoom because he said Lindsay wants to be there. It was brought up in court that Mrs. Clancy wants to attend in person and be involved in ALL decisions concerning her case.

And honestly, considering everything that's happening, I can certainly understand why she would want to be present.

We're talking about whether she's going to face another trial, what charges prosecutors may pursue, and when that trial could potentially begin.

These are HUGE decisions that directly affect her future.

Judge Sullivan also discussed the possibility of scheduling a second trial for MARCH 2027, or potentially even earlier.

But I want to be very clear. March is NOT an official trial date yet. It's a possibility being discussed. And everything still depends on what happens with the pending motions.

Remember, Judge Sullivan took all THREE motions under advisement today.

The defense's motion to dismiss the charges based on double jeopardy.

The defense's motion seeking additional records and a limited inquiry into the holdout juror.

And the Commonwealth's motion seeking restrictions on certain public statements.

NONE OF THOSE MOTIONS HAVE BEEN RULED ON YET.

So here's where we stand after one VERY eventful morning in court.

The Commonwealth has now indicated it intends to retry Lindsay.

We still don't know whether prosecutors plan to pursue the same first-degree murder charges or something different.

Kevin wants a trial this spring with Judge Sullivan presiding. Lindsay wants to be present and involved in decisions concerning her case.

And everyone is heading back to court on NOVEMBER 16 AT 10 AM.

I have to say, after following this case as closely as I have, hearing the Commonwealth finally acknowledge its intention to retry Lindsay was a BIG moment.

But I also found Kevin's comments about Sullivan interesting.

After all the back and forth between them today, he STILL wants Sullivan to be the judge if there's another trial.

And now I'm left wondering what Tim Cruz is going to decide about those charges.

Because that is a pretty important piece of information we STILL don't have.

ARE THEY REALLY GOING TO PURSUE FIRST-DEGREE MURDER AGAIN AFTER AN 11 TO 1 DEADLOCK?! Or will prosecutors consider lesser charges?

And what happens if Judge Sullivan grants the motion to dismiss?

There are still SO MANY unanswered questions.

But at least we finally have a little more clarity about where the Commonwealth stands.

👀 NOVEMBER 16. 10 AM. MARK YOUR CALENDARS.

I'll continue following this case and keeping everyone updated.
