Meet the International Football Arbitration Moot Team! ⚽

We are delighted to introduce the third member of the International Football Arbitration Moot Team - Pola Rzepczyńska! 💫

Pola is a fifth-year law student at the University of Warsaw and a graduate of the British Law Centre, a programme run in cooperation with the University of Cambridge, where she developed a strong foundation in English law. 📚⚖️

During her studies, she has been actively involved in international moot court competitions. Most recently, her team won 2nd Place at the 2025 FDI Moot Global Rounds in Boston - an experience that solidified her interest in investment arbitration (and high-pressure pleadings). 🏆 She also represented the University of Warsaw in the 32nd Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, leading the team to the Rounds of 64, and previously competed in the Central and Eastern European Moot Court Competition and the 2024 FDI Moot. 🔥 In 2024, she won first place in the UW Moot Competition. 📝

Her academic interests focus on arbitration, civil law, and intellectual property - especially where law intersects with new technologies. Alongside her studies, she has gained practical experience through internships at national and international law firms. 💼

Pola completed Harvard Law School’s CopyrightX course and participated in the Legal Tech Summer School in Frankfurt, where she explored the evolving relationship between intellectual property, innovation, and digital transformation. 🤖

Outside of law, she can usually be found at a concert, in a cinema, or travelling with a carefully planned (and slightly overambitious) sightseeing schedule. 🎥✈️ She is also a big orange cat enthusiast. 🐈🍊

It is our pleasure to announce the second member of the International Football Arbitration Moot Team - Konrad Rychter! 💥

Konrad is a fourth-year law student at the University of Warsaw and academic researcher currently serving as a legal assistant at a law firm. He holds the position of Vice-President of the Sports Law Association ⚖️, where he actively coordinates scientific initiatives and legal projects.

His professional and academic focus primarily centers on sports law, AI, and European law. 📚 Konrad’s commitment to high-level expertise is highlighted by his completion of the Advanced Programme on Regulatory Systems (2026) at the University of Oxford’s Faculty of Law. 🎓

His academic path is further distinguished by active participation in international conferences and research programs, including those at the London School of Economics (LSE), where he honed his expertise in bridging the gap between practical legal work and global regulatory standards. 🏛️

Beyond his legal and academic commitments, Konrad is an enthusiast of active living and cultural exploration. In his free time, he is a passionate supporter of sports, a lover of diverse music, and an avid traveler. 🌍 🎶 🏆

We are thrilled to introduce the first member of the International Football Arbitration Moot Team - Michał Cegielski! ✨

Michał is a fourth-year law student at the University of Warsaw. 🎓 In this academic year, he is attending Spanish law classes at the University of Warsaw 🇪🇸. He serves as the President of the Sports Law Association ⚖️, where he coordinates academic initiatives and organizes projects related to sports governance and regulation, including one of the biggest sports law conferences in Poland devoted to this field. 🏟️

He gained professional experience during a year-long internship at a law firm in Warsaw and currently works in the legal department of a medical company. 💼 His main academic interests include sports law, administrative law, and civil law. 📚

[XVII UW x SIAC Pre-Moot – Recap]

While many teams are now continuing their journey through the Pre-Moot season and preparing for the final rounds in Vienna, the Warsaw Pre-Moot Organising Committee – after a short (and very much needed!) breather – has already started working on next year’s edition to make it even better.

As we look back at this year’s XVII UW x Singapore International Arbitration Centre Pre-Moot, we are proud to share a few key figures that reflect the scale and energy of the event:

☑️ Participants from 16 teams representing different countries took part in this year’s edition 🌍
☑️ Pleadings were delivered before 63 distinguished arbitrators 👩‍⚖️👨‍⚖️
☑️ Numerous mooties 👩‍🎓👨‍🎓 demonstrated exceptional advocacy skills throughout the competition

Behind every number stands an enormous amount of work, dedication, and enthusiasm.

A heartfelt thank you to all participants, arbitrators, volunteers, partners, and supporters who contributed to making the XVII UW x SIAC Pre-Moot such a memorable and inspiring event.

We cannot wait to see you again next year! 🍀

[Helga Pedersen Moot Court - Regional Rounds Recap]

Our team - Krystyna Citak, Krzysztofa Gąsiorowska, Zuzanna Karcz and Jakub Fortuna - has successfully completed the Regional Rounds of the Helga Pedersen Moot Court Competition in Malta 💫

Set in beautiful Malta, the experience began with the Opening Ceremony at the University of Valletta Campus, where we had the pleasure of listening to a lecture delivered by a prosecutor from the Office of the Attorney General of Malta.

The following two days were filled with intensive work and oral pleadings which took place in Courts of Justice in Valetta and during which we had the opportunity to perform both as the Applicant and as the Respondent.

The final day of pleadings concluded with some sightseeing and the Closing Ceremony 🥂

We would like to thank once again our colleagues from the other teams, the judges, and the ELSA Malta team for hosting us and welcoming us so warmly.

Now we are waiting for the results ✨
