Polish Citizenship – Seminar for Polonia in Detroit
Immigration law including helping clients to obtain confirmation of Polish citizenship, is one of our specializations. Many Poles, due to historical reasons, were forced to leave Poland and both them as well as their descendants usually qualify for confirmation of Polish citizenship and as a result for Polish passport.
Our experts Richard A. Walawender of Miller Canfield's U.S. and Dr. Andrzej Kiedrzyn of the Warsaw office organized a seminar for the Polish community in Detroit, United States. The meeting was aimed at providing practical knowledge about obtaining Polish citizenship and showing what new opportunities the Polish passport opens up both in Poland and Europe.
During this event, we discussed key aspects of obtaining and confirming Polish citizenship. Participants not only learned about the benefits of having a Polish passport but also learned step-by-step about the application process and related formalities. Interest in the seminar exceeded our expectations, and the assembled guests actively participated in the training.
Dr. Andrzej Kiedrzyn, an expert in this field, and before commencing legal advice practice, he has served, among other positions, as Vice Consul at the Polish Consulate in New York and as First Secretary (Consul) at the Consular Department of the Polish Embassy in Washington from 1991 to 1994. As a result, he has direct knowledge of the procedures and requirements related to Polish citizenship, which allows him to support clients even in the most complicated cases.
