I am pleased that on March 2, 2026, I will be attending the national academic conference entitled "Polish Migration Law in a Period of Change – Law as a Means of Protection, Control, and Punishment," presented by the Migration Law Research Center of the Institute of Legal Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

My presentation focuses on two topics:

A comparative analysis of practice before the Voivode of Mazovia, the Voivode of Silesia, and the Voivode of Lesser Poland.

The Provincial Administrative Court in Warsaw accepted our complaint and cancelled decisions of the Head of Office for foreigners and Masovian Voivode.

The Foreigner failed to notify the cessation of his studies and submitted a new residence permit application, indicating a different purpose of stay : work.
Both authorities found that our client failed to notify because he didn't want his residence to be cancelled. The Court confirmed our position: individual circumstances of the client should be considered, incl. the date of submission the new application for a residence permit with new and diffrent purpose of stay.
