🚨 Client was promised a TRC card within three months. One year later - he discovered that the case was closed.

A client from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 came to us facing a very serious legal situation.

He had entrusted an immigration agency with his temporary residence permit case in Poland and paid a substantial fee 💰 - comparable to or even exceeding fees charged by licensed legal professionals.

He was assured that his residence card would be issued within three months. ⏳But that never happened.

After over one year of waiting, the Voivodeship Office discontinued the proceedings in his case and his case was closed.

The authorities identified serious inconsistencies that resulted from incorrect guidance and improper handling of the case.

What he did not know:

• The proceedings had already been discontinued 📌
• He was not informed about the decision in time
• No appeal was filed
• The deadline to challenge the decision had already passed ⏰

By the time he understood what had happened, it seemed legally too late.

No licensed Polish lawyer had been supervising the case. ⚖️No qualified legal professional was monitoring deadlines or ensuring proper communication with the authorities.

In immigration matters, deadlines are strict. Processing times are rarely predictable. And no one can responsibly guarantee a specific outcome or timeline ❗

Despite the situation, we decided to act 💼 We filed a motion to restore the missed deadline - and it was successfully granted ✅

Following that, we submitted a formal appeal against the decision on discontinuation of proceedings. The case is now pending, and we remain hopeful for a positive outcome 🤞

Another important reminder:

Do not rely only on marketing photos or social media content 📸 when choosing who will handle your legal case. Professional-looking photos or “success stories” do not automatically confirm legal qualifications or accountability.

Always verify:

✔️ Who is legally responsible for your case
✔️ Whether a licensed Polish lawyer is involved
✔️ Who receives official correspondence

Even when a case seems closed - sometimes there is still a legal solution.

What was supposed to be a short trip across Europe…
ended behind locked doors of a detention center. 🚫

Today we’re sharing one of the most chilling stories we’ve handled recently.

Around New Year’s, a foreign national - legally married to an EU citizen - travelled from Germany to Poland for a short stay. ✈️
Under French law and based on the documents he held, he was allowed to move within Europe.

Everything was fine in Poland 🇵🇱
No issues. No violations. No warning signs.

Until the return journey.

At the Polish–German border, he was suddenly stopped.
He was denied re-entry to Germany.
Within hours, he was transferred to a detention center for undocumented migrants.

Locked in for weeks. Not allowed to leave.

His husband contacted us in panic and asked for urgent legal assistance. 🆘

After immediate legal intervention and direct communication with the authorities, the client was released just a few days later and was able to return safely to France 🇫🇷

But this case is not over.

It will now continue before a Polish court ⚖️
The legality of the actions taken will be reviewed.

This situation is a powerful reminder that:

⚠️ EU family ties
⚠️ residence rights
⚠️ cross-border travel

do not always function in practice the way people expect them to.

Freedom of movement in Europe is a right -but its application can become complex very quickly.

If you live in Europe and travel across borders, always verify your legal status before you travel. 🔍
Because sometimes, what looks like a simple trip… can turn into something else entirely.

NEGATIVE DECISION? NOT THE END. 💼⚖️

Our client from the Philippines received a negative decision in Poznań in December 2025. ❌

The reason?
The Voivode requested that her employer present a legal title to the apartment where she was living. The employer failed to provide it.

Even though she was actually living and working there, had a valid work permit, a signed contract, an annex, and all other required documents - a negative decision was still issued.

We filed an appeal to the Chief of the Office for Foreigners (the head authority of Polish immigration) just a few days later. 📑⚖️
Every argument addressed. Every detail clarified.

And on 13.02.2026, only 2 months later, we have received positive decision. ✅ Express resolution of the case.

Sometimes one missing document can change everything. But the right legal strategy can change it back.

If you receive a negative decision - don’t panic. ❗
Very often, there is still a solution.

💭 Have you ever thought about starting your own business in Poland?
Ask AdamLawyerPoland Episode 3

Maybe you’re tired of working for someone else.
Maybe you’re done with bad bosses, long hours, and someone else deciding your future.

What if you became your own boss? 💼
What if your next step was building something for yourself - right here in Poland?

🇵🇱 Poland is one of the most underrated places in Europe to start a business:
✔️ strong economy
✔️ access to the EU market
✔️ real opportunities for foreigners

And this is not just talk.

We’ve helped many clients who used to work for someone else and have now opened their own businesses - mainly in gastronomy 🍽️ and trade 🛒.
One of our Filipino clients started in Poland working in a hotel, and today she runs her own successful gardening business 🌱 - operating not only in Poland, but also in Germany! 🇵🇱🇩🇪

🎥 This weekend, I am dropping a short video explaining why Poland can be a great place to start your own company - and how others have already done it.

❓ Does a child born in Poland to foreign parents automatically get a legal stay status? 👶
❓ What if both parents are fully legal? 📄
❓ What if the child is born in a Polish hospital? 🏥

Many parents assume the answer is obvious.
Unfortunately, real life shows something else.

We’ve seen situations where parents thought everything was fine:

🔹 A family went to the Voivodeship Office just to ask for an update on their case.
A routine visit. A stroller. A one-year-old child.
During the visit, border patrol officers approached them and asked about the child’s TRC status.

🔹 Another case: a father, mother and their few-month-old baby were flying from Warsaw ✈️ to visit family in India.
At the airport, officials asked to confirm the child’s TRC status before departure.

Unfortunately, both stories ended the same way — the children were issued deportation decisions because no TRC application had been submitted on their behalf.

🎥 In today’s 10-second video, I will explain one key rule every foreign parent in Poland must know.

If you have children — or plan to — this is worth 10 seconds ⏱️

Dawat Restaurant invited us today for a lovely lunch — and it was absolutely delicious 🇮🇳✨

Dawat is an Indian&Thai restaurant that opened just 4 months ago in Szczecin, and it’s already winning hearts with its amazing food, authentic flavors, and warm atmosphere 😍🍛

What makes this story even more special to us is that we’ve known the owners for several years.
We supported them earlier during their previous TRC residence processes, back when they were working for other companies.

Today, they are running their own business — and doing it beautifully. Seeing this journey from employees to business owners is truly inspiring 💛

The chefs gained valuable experience working in restaurants in Germany, which you can clearly taste in every dish 👨‍🍳🔥

We’re also proud that we could support Dawat Restaurant with company registration, work permits and residence legalization in Poland.

Thank you for the invitation — and see you again soon! 🙌
