⚠️ Important reminder for anyone applying through the MOS2 online system!

Do not wait until the last day of your legal stay in Poland to submit your application.
Technical issues, internet connection problems, or system delays can cause your application to be submitted after midnight. Even if it is submitted just a few minutes after the end of your last day of legal stay, it may be considered late.
A late application can have serious consequences, including the risk of receiving a return decision and being required to leave Poland.

🚨 Important Notice for EU Citizens Living in Poland

Starting 3 August 2026, residence documents issued under the previous design (before 2 August 2021) will no longer be accepted as valid.

If your document was issued on or before 1 August 2021, now is the time to apply for a replacement.
📄 The following documents must be renewed:
• Registration certificate for an EU citizen (paper version)
• Permanent residence document for an EU citizen
• Residence card for a family member of an EU citizen
• Permanent residence card for a family member of an EU citizen
📌 Submit your application to the Voivode's Office responsible for your place of residence.
💡 Don't leave it until the deadline—renew your document in advance to avoid unnecessary complications and ensure your legal stay documentation remains up to date.

On 12 December 2025, the Act of 21 November 2025 amending the Act on Foreigners and certain other acts was signed into law. The new regulations introduce the digitalisation of procedures related to the legalisation of foreigners’ stay in Poland. ❗

According to the planned changes, applications for residence permits in Poland (temporary residence, permanent residence, and EU long-term resident status) will be submitted exclusively in electronic form, via a dedicated online platform – the Case Handling Module (MOS).🌐

At this moment, this obligation is not yet in force.
