The date for filing income tax returns will not be further extended. All commercial banks will be open till 9 pm tonight for the convenience of taxpayers. All field offices of FBR will be open till 10 pm for the convenience of taxpayers. Taxpayers can file income tax returns online till midnight. All sub-offices have been directed to set up a helpdesk to receive applications related to extension of date for filing income tax returns.
A request for extension in the date received by the Chief Commissioner may be extended to several taxpayers provided the taxpayer's name, identification number, NTN and boundary are specified. An online application for extension of the date of filing of returns will also be accepted. The Chief Commissioners have been directed to be generous in requesting for extension of the date of filing of tax returns.
The IRIS system has also been improved to make it easier to enter the maximum number of expected statements.

Dear citizens, it is again informed and reminded that 08.12.2020 is last date of return filling ,file your tax returns as early possible to avoid legal complications. FBR has issued instructions in this regards ,
however who won’t be able to file returns need to apply extension in filling individually to their relevant jurisdictions.
