Our Vice-Chancellor, Professor Paul Bartholomew, joined 350 business leaders, mayors and investors at the UK Government's landmark Regional Investment Summit in Birmingham.
Earlier this month, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, the Hon Rachel Reeves MP who led a keynote speech at the Summit today, pledged that no region will be locked out of the investment, jobs and growth being delivered as part of the government’s Plan for Change.
The Chancellor announced that the upcoming Budget would focus on growth while also addressing the challenges faced in ensuring economic stability.

Ulster University welcomed the 2025 Tip O’Neill Irish Diaspora Awardees to Derry~Londonderry on Friday:
Danny Hutton, founding member of American rock band Three Dog Night; Vincent Keaveny, the first Irish-born Lord Mayor of the City of London; and Eileen & Seán Donaghey, legendary Sydney community figures.
The day was a real celebration of Irish heritage, global achievement, and community connection.
