Standing with the family of Ume Rubab and showing sympathy with her, we can confidently say that the Pakistani justice system has completely failed to give justice to victims.
Three people were killed, but even after a couple of years, this question is still alive that “who killed them?” Finding who killed them is the duty of the state.
After reading the judgment of this case we can clearly see that the complainant party was given proper time and all lawful remedies to prove their case, but as per the court’s findings, the prosecution failed to prove the case.
Lack of evidence, change of narrative from the FIR, timely amendments in motive, differences in witnesses statements, and delay in the FIR raised serious doubts in the case, which became the reason for the acquittal of all the accused.
This case shows that social media and emotional appeals do not impact the case. The court has to see documents, evidence, issues, and witnesses, not personal views and sympathies of people on social media.
We can have serious objections and personal grudge towards the tribal/feudal system, but it does not mean that every allegation against a tribal person will be true.
