The Islamabad High Court has called for amendments to the Nikahnama to ensure wives receive an equal share in assets acquired during marriage in cases of divorce or the husband’s de@th.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Qayyani emphasized strengthening women’s property rights and urged legal reforms to protect housewives financially.
He also highlighted the need to educate women about their marital rights to build a more just and progressive society.
