HRFP Statement

Human Rights Forum of Pakistan (HRFP) strongly condemns the brutal killing of three young men belonging to the Shar tribe by the police. These alleged extra-judicial killings are a grave violation of the Constitution, the rule of law, and fundamental human rights.
HRFP demands the immediate formation of an independent Joint Investigation Team (JIT), comprising judicial officers and credible human rights representatives, to ensure a transparent, impartial, and time-bound investigation. All officials found responsible—directly or indirectly—must be held accountable under the law, without exception.
Fake encounters and abuse of authority cannot be tolerated in a democratic society. Justice must not only be done, it must be seen to be done.
