The Capacity Building, Development, and Research (CBDR) Circle is pleased to announce the launch of its Three-Day Certification Course on Gender, Technology, and Law.
As technology continues to reshape societies, legal systems, and professional spaces, critical questions arise: Are digital transformations fostering inclusion, or merely translating existing inequalities into new forms? How do law, gender, and technology intersect in an era defined by algorithms, platforms, and data-driven decision-making?
This certification course offers a timely and thought-provoking exploration of these evolving dynamics.
Participants will engage with themes including:
• Changing dimensions of law, technology, and gender
• Technology-facilitated gender-based violence
• Gendered impacts of technological advancement
• Algorithmic bias and digital inequality
• Legal frameworks
• Gender-sensitive and survivor-centric approaches
Designed as a space for academic dialogue, practical learning, and cohort-based engagement, the program combines critical debates with interactive activities and applied insights.
While conversations on law and technology are expanding, gender-responsive analysis and legal tools remain underexplored.
This course seeks to bridge that gap by foregrounding inclusion, diversity, and rights-based perspectives within digital discourse.
📍 Format: Hybrid
• In-person sessions (3 days) in Islamabad
• Online participation available worldwide
🌍 Context: Pakistan-focused, globally relevant
CBDR Circle has consistently worked to democratize knowledge through capacity-building initiatives, including its flagship programs on climate change and human rights, technology-facilitated gender-based violence, professional development, and legal awareness.
