Imran Ahmed Khan Vs Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. (Panama Case)

In view of foregoing constitutional situation, an opinion is submitted, Article 69 of the constitution is under debate and it is being said that no proceedings or decisions of Speaker or member of National Assembly can be called into question before Honourable Supreme Court or any other court. But that may not be the hard and fast rule in this case, as Honourable Supreme Court had already held in the famous Panama Case judgment that the acts of the Speaker National Assembly can be called to question if the same were illegal or against the facts. If the prevailing scenario is seen under the case cited, one can conclude that the decision taken/ruling given by Speaker of National Assembly can be questioned by Honourable Supreme Court if the same is found to be illegal/ultra vires to constitution by SC or is against the facts.
