Under the Street Law Clinic initiative in the subject of Civic and Community Engagement, Farheen Arshad student LL.B second semester,School of Law, Quaid-i-Azam University conducted a video-based project based on her visit to a police station.
Through this activity, she explored the role of the police in maintaining law and order, the process of FIR registration, and the responsibilities of police officers in serving the public. The project helped connect classroom learning with practical exposure to the justice system and highlighted the importance of accessible, responsible and community-oriented policing.

Under the Street Law Clinic initiative in the subject of Civic and Community Engagement, Tereem Tariq developed a societal awareness video on Digital Violence.
Her project highlights an important and growing concern in today’s online world, where harassment, intimidation, misuse of personal information, cyberbullying and online abuse can deeply affect individuals and communities. Through this video, she aimed to create awareness about responsible digital behaviour, online safety, respect for others and the need to use digital platforms with care and accountability.

Under the Street Law Clinic initiative in the subject of Civic and Community Engagement, Asma Malik (LL.B. 2nd Semester, Section A, School of Law, Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad) developed a short video-based awareness project on the increasing environmental problems in Abbottabad.
Her project draws attention to the growing challenges of pollution, waste mismanagement, urban pressure, and environmental neglect in the city. Through this initiative, she highlighted the need for public awareness, responsible civic behaviour and collective action to protect the natural beauty and living environment of Abbottabad. This contribution reflects the purpose of civic engagement by encouraging students to observe local problems and use awareness as a tool for community improvement.

Under the Street Law Clinic initiative in the subject of Civic and Community engagement, Sajjad Usman (LL.B. 2nd Semester, School of Law, Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad) conducted a research visit to Central Prison Peshawar to study the role of skill development and vocational training programmes in the rehabilitation of prisoners.
The project examined how prison-based industries and training opportunities, including shoe-making, weaving, tailoring, and other practical skills, can help inmates use their time productively, earn income, support their families and prepare for reintegration into society after release. The visit also highlighted the psychological and social value of such programmes, as they encourage discipline, self-reliance, lawful behaviour and hope for a better future.
This is a highly meaningful contribution because it connects legal education with correctional reform, human dignity, rehabilitation and social reintegration. The project reflects the spirit of the Street Law Clinic by encouraging students to understand justice not only through courts and laws but also through institutions where vulnerable and marginalized individuals need reform, support and a second chance.

Under the Street Law Clinic initiative in the subject of Civic and Community Engagement, Hamna Khan (LL.B. 2nd Semester, Section B, School of Law, Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad) visited a school in a backward area to understand the educational challenges faced by students and to contribute positively to their learning environment. She interacted with students, discussed the importance of education, responded to their queries, and provided career guidance to broaden their future aspirations. As part of the activity, she also distributed registers and uniforms among deserving students, reflecting a practical commitment to educational support, dignity and community service.

Under the Street Law Clinic initiative in the subject of Civic and Community Engagement, Muhammad Hammad Faisal (LL.B. 2nd Semester, Section B, School of Law, Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad) conducted an awareness session at a local school. The session focused on the importance of education, basic human rights, student rights, respect for teachers and parents, equal opportunities, discipline, honesty, confidence-building, and social responsibility. Under the Street Law Clinic initiative in the subject of Civic and Community Engagement, Sohail Ahmad (LL.B. 2nd Semester, Section B, School of Law, Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad) conducted a project on STEP Organization – Sustainable Transformation and Empowerment Program. As a founding member of STEP since 2024, he has been actively involved in empowering and raising awareness across Pakistan for social betterment. As part of this initiative, he provided direct support to 10 families in the form of cash assistance, demonstrating practical community engagement and social responsibility.

The project explores the causes and consequences of prolonged legal processes, the challenges faced by citizens, and the importance of public engagement in demanding timely justice. As part of this initiative, he visited the Islamabad Judicial Complex to observe ongoing cases, adding real-world insights to the project. Her work highlighted the historical significance of Labour Day, the importance of fair wages, safe working conditions, limited working hours and equal respect for workers. The project also discussed child labour, women’s labour rights, and the challenges faced by male workers in different sectors. As part of their field activity, they visited Teaching Hospital, Rawalpindi and met Dr. Tasavvur to understand the medical, social, and public health dimensions of thalassemia. The project highlighted the need for greater public awareness, early screening, responsible health choices and community-level education regarding hereditary blood disorders that continue to affect many families in Pakistan.
