On 3 February 2026, His Excellency Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan, paid an official visit to Pakistan, where both nations reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation across economic, legal, cultural, and strategic sectors.

During the visit, his excellency Mr Myrzagarayev Madi, Chairman of the National Bar Association of Kazakhstan also joined the delegation to enhance legal cooperation, he met with representatives of IDI / SOM including Chair Mr. Adil Aziz Qazi, Co Chair Barrister Zopash, Regitrar M Yaseen, Director Zaidar Ahsan Shah and Haseeb Awan , to discuss the growing role of mediation in Pakistan’s legal system and its potential development in this field.
