⚖️ NIKAHNAMA CONDITIONS, HAQ MEHR & FAMILY COURT RIGHTS
Is your Haq Mehr unpaid? Does your Nikahnama contain a promise concerning money, property, a house, gift, maintenance, divorce or second marriage? A Nikahnama is not merely ceremonial; its written terms may create enforceable financial obligations.
Under 2026 CLC 580 (Islamabad High Court) and 2025 MLD 523 (Lahore High Court), courts examine the wording and true intention of the spouses. Columns 17 and 18, special conditions, dower, promised property, financial benefits and agreed consequences of divorce or second marriage may be determined by the Family Court according to the evidence and circumstances of each case.
