Courage and Perseverance! ✨
Let this be known as written in stone-- no one should ever discredit bar flunkers and bar retakers.
The study of law is a burden in itself. If you think that the stories you hear are exaggerations, then you have to think again. Eight to ten hours of studying per day is the norm. Sitting in a room full of brilliant people is pressure in itself. Reciting infront of a presiding Justice or a well-known author does not help. Trying to memorize kilometric codal provisions is a task only a few could do. Reading more than a hundred cases per week is taxing to the extent that it is already toxic. What more if you turn the same up a notch and place yourself in the shoes of those taking the Bar?
The journey to becoming a member of the legal profession is a league of its own. Everyone who surpassed the same has a badge of courage and persevarance hanging in their chests. To discredit those who did not make it is wrong. To look down at those who made it after a couple of tries is not acceptable.
External factors must always be considered on why a person falls under the said categories. But these circumstances do not change the fact that they already finished their respective degrees as Juris Doctors.
Everyone should understand that at the end of the day, what matters most is how we use further studies in order to push for a better society. What matters most is the fact that we are all united in bringing a better quality of justice in the country.
Quoting the great Dean Riano, "It's not failure. It's just delayed success."
