REPEAT BUSINESS is the BEST KIND of FEEDBACK!
A candidate prepares for interview, but interviewers prepare for the interview, too!
Here are some TIPS for RECRUITERS:
1. ANALYZE THE CV
A candidate's CV tells a story about their career choices, decision making skills, writing and organizing skills. Not the complete picture, but you will have a glimpse. This paper screening may take time but a time worth your while, so make the most out of that open time.
2. SEND PRE-SCREENING QUESTIONS
Just like other job portals/platforms, a FIVE QUICK, STANDARD QUESTIONS can also set expectations from both parties on how the interview can go. Communication skills are also tested here.
3. RESPECT EACH OTHER'S TIME
Prepare role related question ahead of time and review it before the interview proper. 10 good questions can elicit the proper answer to your FITNESS TEST. 30-45 minutes for a first interview is just enough to validate important details and for the interviewee to ask questions, too. A properly timed interview saves time for both parties and leaves a good impression.
4. SHORTEN THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS
Too much information is being collected but not everything is vital to hiring decisions, it veers away from the 'right hire' because of the noise. Too much process complicates the hiring process and the right candidate lose interest to pursue the application. Yes, applicants need the job BUT WE ALSO NEED THEM. The RECRUITMENT process is a COURTSHIP stage between the COMPANY and the APPLICANT. Be clear and straight forward.
