The week in nearby Manila was a scorcher...typical. Very warm nights, very hot days! I needed a break. Tagaytay beckoned...and Tagaytay gave me the refreshing break I needed!

Traffic was smooth. I got to the condo by lunch time. And soon after a satisfying lunch, it started to rain!!!

Oh my! I've always loved the rain....the sound...the patter of rain on the pavement or on the roof...it always lulls me to calmness. The smell...it's refreshing, it's clean.

I almost immediately fell asleep! Now this is what I mean taking a break!

Thinking of getting out of the heat in the Metro? A quick drive to cool Tagaytay City will surely refresh you!

But what's even better is a relaxing weekend where you can just relax, be miles away from the usual bustle of city living...

I personally love unhurried, simple meals on a cool balcony and lazy afternoons on the bed...some days i love to while away the time watching the sky change hues as the sun sets...

I really love my Tagaytay weekends...

One of Tagaytay City's tourist draws is undoubtedly the spectacular view of the Taal Volcano.

Restaurants lining the ridge of the Taal lake boast of front row seats to the calming view of an otherwise active volcano...ironic, but true! Spend an afternoon, coffee in hand, gazing at Taal and you will surely agree with me!

The refreshingly cool, sometimes foggy air, the breathtaking view of Taal and the sumptuous meals are just some of countless good reasons to plan a weekend stay in beautiful Tagaytay City!
