Threatening to post a person’s unpaid debts on social media like Facebook, Instagram, Thread, etc. can be illegal. A person posting can be subjected to various and potential violation of the laws such as, but not limited to, Anti-Cybercrime Law, Harassment, Violation of the Data Privacy Act, Libel, etc.

There are a lot of legal ways to collect a debt. Resorting to posting on social media platforms could pose a legal risk to the person making the post.

Ang Republic Act No. 9262 ay kilala bilang “Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004".

Layunin ng batas na ito na protektahan ang mga kababaihan maging ang kani-kanilang mga anak mula sa physical, sexual, psychological, at economic abuse ng kanilang mga karelasyon o dating karelasyon, katulad ng asawa, kinakasama o live-in partner, dating live-in partner, atbp.

Ang paglabag sa batas na ito ay may kaukulang parusa na maaring ipataw ng korte at ito ay ang alin sa mga sumusunod, depende sa kaso:
* Pagkakakulong
* Multa
* Restraining Order
* Pagkait ng kustodiya ng anak

Beware of being unscrupulously used as “Money Mules”. Do not lend, share, or rent out your financial accounts.

The public, especially individuals and companies with registered bank accounts, e-wallets such as GCash and Maya, online financial platforms such as Palawan Express, or other financial accounts, is strongly advised not to share, lend, rent out, or allow other people or entities to use their personal financial accounts.

Individuals or companies with the aforementioned financial accounts may be used as “money mules” by criminal syndicates to perpetrate various financial scams.
