For the Land Transportation Office (LTO), its explicit power to issue, suspend, or revoke driver's licenses under Republic Act No. 4136 means it also holds the exclusive authority to confiscate those licenses. 🧑‍⚖️🧑‍⚖️🧑‍⚖️🧑‍⚖️

"Ang tigas talaga ng ulo ng mga Filipino! Puro pasaway! They need to respect the law."

Meanwhile, local government blatantly defies a Supreme Court ruling, a DOJ opinion, a DILG circular, and a DOTr order, all saying the same thing: LGUs have no legal basis to confiscate a driver's license.

Same thing with the single ticketing system. It was ordered back in 2012. Upheld by the Supreme Court in 2023. Still being argued about and ignored more than a decade later.

But ikaw ang pasaway.

This is why we have trust issues.

SC: Mutual Desire to End Marriage Does Not Automatically Prove Collusion, Rules Supreme Court

The Supreme Court (SC) has ruled that a husband and wife's mutual desire to end their marriage does not, by itself, constitute collusion in petitions for annulment or declaration of nullity of marriage.

Using a government-owned ambulance for personal use, recreation, or non-emergency purposes constitutes MaLvErSaTioN of Public Property under Article 217 of the Revised Penal Code, as well as a violation of DOH Administrative Order No. 2010-0003 on the national policy of ambulance use.

Because an ambulance is considered accountable public property, diverting it from its legally mandated function exposes the responsible public official to severe criminal and administrative penalties.

If the ambulance is used for AnoThEr PuBLiC pUrPoSe (such as using an emergency vehicle as an office service vehicle or for general LGU errands), it may also trigger TeChNiCaL MaLveRsATiOn under Article 220 of the RPC.
