Expanding Homeownership for More Filipino Families
In line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to expand access to homeownership, and under the leadership of Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development Secretary Jose Ramon P. Aliling, Pag-IBIG Fund released โฑ32.92 billion in home loans in Q1 2026, up 9% from last year, helping 20,926 families secure homes of their own.
Growth was also driven by socialized housing, which reached โฑ2.95 billion and financed 3,439 homes, up 68% in amount and 92% in number of units. This reflects the Fundโs continued focus on serving members from lower-income sectors.
Through the Pag-IBIG Housing Loan, members can achieve homeownership through affordable monthly payments that are often lower than rent. This allows them to gain a home they can truly call their own, while still having more room in their budget for their familyโs daily needs.
To sustain this momentum, Pag-IBIG Fund rolled out regional Housing Fairs in Central Luzon, South Luzon, and the Visayas, and soon in Mindanao and the National Capital Region (NCR), making it easier for members to access housing options and connect directly with developers and services.
As part of the national governmentโs Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Program, Pag-IBIG Fund continues to expand access to decent and affordable housing, while stimulating the housing sector, creating jobs, strengthening construction and allied industries, and thereby contributing to the national economy.
