At this time, scheduled visa interviews and American Citizens Services appointments at the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines will proceed as scheduled during the lapse in appropriations. The offsite Visa Application Center in Parqal, Parañaque City, will also remain open for visa applicants who are scheduled for photo and fingerprint collection.

Know the rules before you travel. A B1/B2 visitor visa can be used to conduct business meetings and negotiate contracts, but if you need to do work, then you need a different visa. Unauthorized employment can lead to deportation and/or a permanent ban from entering the country in the future.

If you remain in the United States beyond your authorized period of stay, you could face a permanent ban on traveling to the United States. Consular officers have full access to your immigration history and will know about past violations. There is no such thing as an “honest mistake” – it is your responsibility to use your visa correctly.

All visa appointments at the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines for November 10, 2025, are canceled due to the severe weather effects of Typhoon Uwan.

The offsite Visa Application Center (VAC) in Paranaque City will also be closed for all scheduled photo and fingerprint collection appointments.

The safety of Consular staff and visa applicants is our top priority. Visa applicants who have scheduled appointments on November 10 should check their registered email address for detailed rescheduling instructions.

Visa applicants who have urgent scheduling concerns may call our customer service center at (02) 8548-8223 for immediate assistance.
