The BIR has issued Revenue Memorandum Circular (RMC) No. 33-2026 clarifying important rules on:
β Proof of Settlement of Estate
β Installment Payments
β Undeclared Estate Properties
β Processing of eCAR for property transfers
πππ¬ π§πππππͺππ¬π¦:
β
No deadline for submission of Proof of Settlement
Failure to submit before the June 16, 2025 deadline does NOT invalidate the Estate Tax Amnesty application.
β
However, Proof of Settlement is still REQUIRED for the issuance of the eCAR and transfer of inherited properties.
β
Installment payment may be allowed upon approval of the Revenue District Officer (RDO), subject to conditions. Provided that FIRST installment payment is made on or before June 16, 2025
β οΈ Missed installment payments may result in forfeiture of the amnesty availment and corresponding penalties.
β οΈ Undeclared properties discovered after filing are NOT covered by the amnesty and may be taxed under regular estate tax laws.
