It aims to lead ordinary children to be SuperChamps who are empowered to serve each other and those who are in need. Play, Learn and Serve (PLS) is all about Celebrating God's Love with His Precious Children! It is the flagship program of the non-profit organization Child and Family Life Enrichment Center Inc. It provides character development program for less fortunate children from Urban Poor Co
mmunities. The primary goal is to provide access to children from all walks of life to opportunities to learn the essential human competencies such as personality development, critical thinking and creativity, management-mindedness, social and environmental awareness, and most importantly, practical Christianity. Through a progressive way of teaching, the Play, Learn and Serve program implements principle-based modules to nurture the physical, cognitive, emotional, social and spiritual aspects of the developing child. We have a carefully developed program that creatively instills in the children the vital characters we believe they need to grasp in preparation for a fulfilling future. In the past Eight years PLS has been regularly conducting Sunday Character Development and Feeding Program, Special Summer Program or Vacation Bible School, Reading Enrichment Program and other after-school activities such as Academic enrichment services and Educational Coaching. These are all geared toward inspiring, training, and empowering children to have a strong character that will strengthen them throughout their lives so they too can have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others. PLS promotes through its customized quality programs and services the importance of:
o Play-based learning in attaining optimal childhood development;
o Education as a powerful instrument of social change; and
o Service to God as the purpose of life
The program maintains a safe and welcoming environment that encourages self-expression and love for learning. As of September 2021, the PLS family has been serving thousands of children on its Eight years of operation. It is also a growing network of committed educators and dedicated volunteers who serve as a support system in helping protect and advocate the rights and welfare of every child. Through God's sustaining grace, Play, Learn and Serve turned out to be a time and a place where we celebrate God's LOVE with God's Precious CHILDREN, inspiring, training and equipping them to be a deeper lover of God and a better lover of others!
