Mindanao Migrants Center for Empowered Actions, Inc. (MMCEAI), represented by Ms. Inorisa S. Elento and Prof. Rosena Sanchez, Executive Director and Trustee, respectively, and Lawyers Beyond Borders Phil, likewise represented by Atty. Celia Galzote Valdez and Atty. Noel A. Ben Batas At Adbokasiya, Board Treasurer and Vice-President, respectively, formally entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on 30 July 2026 on the occasion of 2026 Migration, Environment, Peace and Development (MEPD) Summit at The Pinnacle Hotel and Suites, Davao City, to coordinate, collaborate, and co-implement all for the meaningful protection of the rights of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and in the promotion of their welfare and their families, more particularly the Mindanaoans.

(MMCEAI), participates in the 2026 Summit on Migration, Environment, Peace and Development (MEPD) as therein represented by Atty. Celia Galzote Valdez and Atty. Noel A. Ben Batas At Adbokasiya.

"The Summit aims to bring together migration stakeholders across Mindanao to deepen understanding of current migration realities and jointly shape ways forward. Specifically, the gathering seeks to:

1. Share updates on national and regional migration trends and emerging issues affecting Mindanao;
2. Create safe and inclusive spaces for dialogue on priority migration concerns;
3. Generate practical policy and program recommendations grounded in community realities; and
4. Strengthen solidarity and collaboration among civil society networks, migrant organizations, and government partners."

This 3-day Summit, 28-30 July 2026, features plenary discussions, thematic learning sessions, participatory workshops, migrant storytelling, cultural activities, and collaborative planning sessions on areas including Children of Overseas Filipino Workers (Anak OFW); Irregular Migration Corridors in the Philippines; Internal Migration; and
Climate-Induced Migration.

LBB Philippines as LODI!

"The IBP LODI Program stands for the Lawyer of the Day Initiative, a nationwide legal aid program of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP). Through this initiative, volunteer lawyers provide free walk-in legal advice, counseling, and assistance to indigent Filipinos who need immediate legal guidance."

This program brings closer free legal aid services to the marginalized sectors of our society proceeding from a constitutionally guaranteed right that: "Free access to the courts and quasi-judicial bodies and adequate legal assistance shall not be denied to any person by reason of poverty."
