Through the Coastal Environment Program (CEP)of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) the Seamancor was o

rganized and registered on December 1994 under its component projects such as community organizing, marine eco-system inventory and assessment including the provision of the alternative livelihood projects intended for the community specially for the members as well. Seamancor was awarded 500 hectares mangrove forest, under the 25 years Mangrove Stewardship Agreement (MSA) of the DENR on 1997. The Seamancor was implemented various livelihood projects such as swine and goat dispersal, seaweeds farming, shell craft, crab and prawn culture, nipa plantation, aquasilviculture, rice retailing, collection of mangrove seedlings, tourist and tour guiding, danggit processing and catering services for all occasion. Seamancor is also active in various environmental activities like continuous coastal clean-up, mangrove tree planting in partnership of students from colleges and universities in Bicol region and including pastoral youth groups, local leaders and PNP member of Prieto-Diaz.
