In a bid to tackle surging energy demands, the Cebu Provincial Government has forged a strategic partnership with ACCIONA Energia Global from Spain and Freya Renewables Inc. based in Makati.
Under a memorandum of agreement (MOA) signed on March 16, 2024, at the Cebu Capitol Building, both companies will jointly establish a 150-megawatt (MW) Solar Power Plant in Barangay Talisay, Daanbantayan.
This groundbreaking project, set to span a 185-hectare site, represents a significant step towards sustainable energy solutions for the province with zero cost to the provincial government, operating under the Build-Transfer-Operate Scheme for 25 years.
The alliance signifies ACCIONA Energia Global and Freya Renewables Inc.'s commitment to renewable energy and further marks its impact toward a cleaner, greener future.
