RE: Integrated Bar of the Philippines - Misamis Occidental Chapter Mandatory Minimum Tariff Rates

The Pede Law Office has been serving the public in its Legal/Notarial Services in Oroquieta City and its neighboring towns for quite a number of years now. Hence, it is incumbent upon me as the managing lawyer of the said office to inform the public that there is already an increase of the Legal/Notarial Fee in obeyance to the mandatory IBP Tariff Rates that was unanimously agreed upon by all the lawyers of Misamis Occidental starting March 1, 2024.

Should anyone have complaints/concerns about said increase, just like what had transpired in Oroquieta City Tabuan Online, should address his/her concern directly to the office and not by posting the same to the social media in order to seek sympathy from the general public.

Please be informed that such actuation is not only an affront to my office, but rather, to the legal profession as a whole, and thereby should not be condoned. Let us exercise due diligence in posting such complaints.

Let it be known that clients are not only paying for our signature in their notarized documents which may seem so easy, but clients are paying for our hardwork, sleepless nights and devotion to achieve such a profession. More so, such notarized document will become a public document which is imbued with the legal implications.
