Another early morning duty as your Lawyer of the Day (LODI) with Atty. Edilyn Marzan from Calabanga. ⚖️🤝

It was nice meeting a fellow lawyer-teacher because I find it incredibly rare to talk to someone sharing the same field of expertise. While waiting for clients, we had an opportunity to share our sentiments about the private practice and the teaching profession. I wish I had longer duty time because we still have more topics left to discuss, though that is not really the goal of why we were on duty in the first place. 😅

For those who wish to visit the IBP Office for free legal consultation and advice this September 2026, they are open from Monday to Saturday, 8am to 5pm, except on September 17-20, 2026. Please bring supporting documents for the lawyer's reference.

Attended the Lecture on "Critical Use of AI" led by Senior Associate Justice (SAJ) Marvic M.V.F Leonen last Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Ateneo de Naga University (ADNU).

Bar exams are already digitalized when I joined the legal profession yet I still have so much to learn when it comes to the judiciary's modern case management system. I thought having adequate knowledge in using the JEPS when paying court fees, filing electronic mail in court and serving copies to the parties, and electronic filing of notarial reports are enough for me to survive litigation but with the presence of Artificial Intelligence (AI), I learned that the world is spinning too fast with these technological developments that I might have a hard time keeping up. Although I can say that I can confidently write without using ChatGPT, the availability of this platform might lure me to use it in desperate times until I slowly become dependent on it.

Grateful that we had this opportunity which also served as a warning to me that even if AI can help me with my tasks, I should not let machines take over me. 😌

Was invited to serve as the resource speaker of Anti-Bullying Act of 2013 in my high school alma mater, Naga College Foundation. 🐯💚💛

I find it interesting to note that prior to my discussion, I had a brief talk with Sir Joven regarding his concerns as the grade school's prefect of discipline. His dedication in soliciting parental support and raising awareness to make the learning atmosphere safe and productive for students is so commendable because aside from teaching, he is also trying to establish good relationship with the parents. In this way, they can collectively raise morally upright citizens from this institution and I am very much willing to be a part of his advocacy. 🫡

Thank you to the NCF Basic Education Department headed by our ever supportive principal, Mr. Al-Noel Asis, Mr. Joven Araña, the prefect of student formation, and Mr. Andrew Regalado, the GPTC President. 🤗

Joined the Bishops and Lawyers Solidarity Conference yesterday at Iglesia Filipina Independiente - National Cathedral, a day after they celebrated their 124th founding anniversary.

It was only a brief day of encounter with IFI bishops, pastors, activists, and fellow public interest lawyers but we have productively exchanged our views and legal perspectives and at the same time shared our struggles and frustrations in pursuing our advocies. Despite belonging in diverse sectors, we all clicked and had a healthy discussion in that gathering. After all, we had the same objective, which is to attain social justice for everyone.

Wishing that this will not be the last time that we will gather, because it was said there that it is better for us to add and multiply, than subtract and divide.

Honestly, I have been looking forward for this day since I got invited to be a resource speaker because I am passionate whenever I discuss topics involving gender equality and human rights. And I am glad to be associated with groups of people sharing these advocacies with me. ❤️‍🔥✊
