House Bill No. 2653 is the General Tax Amnesty Act of 2025. This bill excludes the amnesty for estate tax, which expired last June 14, 20025.

House Bill No. 609 is the bill for the extension of the availment of benefits of the estate tax amnesty. It proposed the extension until June 14, 2028.

On June 2, 2025, the two chamber of Congress will resume its 3rd Regular Session of the 19th Congress. Then they will adjourn on June 13, 2025 -- a day before the expiry of the Estate Tax Amnesty.

One of the pending legislation that the leaders of this Congress wants to pass prior to June 13, 2025 is the amendments to Rep. Act No. 7652 or the Investor's Lease Act.

A Bicameral Conference Committee will be scheduled by next week to harmonize the versions of each House of Congress. Then, it will be sent back to each chamber for ratification of the final version before it is sent to Malacañan for the President's signature.
