In celebration of Women’s Month, the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, in partnership with PUP College of Law, Ina ng Bayan sa Sais, Tara Kabataan, Akbayan Youth and The Sanctuary Network gathered with lawmakers, advocates, and students for “Mga Batas para sa Kababaihan: Tagumpay, Hamon, at Susunod na Laban.”

We are proud to share that our Legal Aid Clinic actively participated in the event by offering free legal services and consultations to members of the community, bringing the law closer to the people and reinforcing our commitment to access to justice for women.

Tomorrow’s forum, “Mga Pamatbat sa Pagpasabat: The Continuing Call for Accountability in Duterte’s War on Drugs through the International Criminal Court,” serves as a vital space to bridge the gap between unresolved cries for justice and the international mechanisms designed to answer them.

We are honored to be joined by Atty. Kristina Conti, Secretary-General of NUPL–NCR and Assistant to Counsel before the International Criminal Court. As someone who walks alongside the families of victims in their daily struggle, she will provide crucial updates on the ICC proceedings and discuss why the pursuit of accountability remains the only path forward. In a climate of persistent impunity, understanding the legal avenues available to us is more than just academic; it is a tool for survival and a means of sustaining a movement that refuses to let these extrajudicial killings be forgotten.
