Kuwait International Airport Partially Reopens at Terminal 4 with Limited Flights..

International Airport resumed limited operations on Sunday, April 26, 2026, following a two-month suspension of air traffic, with services restarting at Terminal 4, the hub for national carrier Kuwait Airways, Kuwait International Airport.
The reopening is being implemented under a phased plan by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), with current operations at around 10% capacity, handling approximately 40 flights daily compared to nearly 400 before the shutdown.
Kuwait Airways has begun operating initial flights to destinations including Cairo, Beirut, Amman, and Manila, alongside Jazeera Airways as part of the gradual restart of services.
Authorities have imposed strict entry measures at Terminal 4, allowing only ticketed passengers inside while companions are barred. A new entry system via the Satellite Building has also been introduced to manage passenger flow.
Officials said the airport will continue expanding operations gradually as safety and readiness conditions allow. #الكويت

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) commemorates the 2nd death anniversary of the late DMW Secretary Susan “T***s” Ople today, 22 August 2025.

A staunch advocate of overseas Filipino workers' (OFW) rights, Secretary T***s tirelessly dedicated her life to promoting the rights and welfare of our OFWs, our modern-day heroes. She was also the founder of the Blas F. Ople Policy Center and Training Institute (Ople Center), named after her father, the late Senator and former Labor Secretary Blas Ople, that envisions better quality life for every OFW and their families.

As the first full-fledged Secretary of the DMW appointed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., Secretary T***s pushed for a rights-based approach in ensuring the utmost protection of our OFWs and their families. She also started the continued efforts of the DMW in the streamlining and digitalization of its existing processes for enhanced service provision.

Secretary T***s branded the DMW as the “Tahanan ng OFW”, a sanctuary in the government where every OFW feels valued, respected, and empowered.

The Department commits to further strengthen, broaden, and deepen the DMW as the “Tahanan ng OFW” enshrined by Secretary T***s and to continue the legacy she left behind.
