LOOK: RITZ-CARLTON’S MV LUMINARA MAKES FIRST-EVER CALL IN BORACAY

Ritz-Carlton’s luxury cruise ship MV Luminara arrived in Boracay on Saturday, January 17, marking the island’s first cruise ship arrival for 2026.

According to Mr. Niven Maquirang, officer-in-charge of Port Cruise Ship Operations in Aklan, the vessel carried more than 500 crew members and passengers.

The visit marked MV Luminara’s first call to Boracay and was highlighted by a Plaque Exchange ceremony attended by Aklan Governor Jose Enrique Miraflores, alongside representatives from the Department of Tourism Western Visayas, the Philippine Ports Authority, and the Malay Local Government Unit.

The arrival signals a positive step in the continued recovery and growth of cruise tourism in Boracay and Western Visayas.
