Our distinctly Rotarian works of service and fellowship officially began several months ago. Interestingly, slightly coinciding with the law schools' calendar, I also had 14 units of commercial law to finish for this semester (I told myself I wont take more than 10, well there you go). As Rotary Club President, I initiated events promoting and advocating for adolescent wellness, mental health, financial literacy and empowerment, and data privacy awareness. I also supported other clubs' diversity initiatives, education and learning enhancing initiatives. Our club also engaged in several relief operations and green initiatives.
Fast forward to December 8, and as a matter of tradition, I was officially inducted as President of the Rotary Club of Manila Supreme 198, with our celebration being spearheaded by our AKS DGE, the one and only Bing N. Carrion, and attended by our inspiring Governor Mary Mei V Rodrigo. What made the event even more special was that it was my wife, Dr. Tasha Esteban who introduced me when several weeks and months earlier she was already begging off from having to do just that. And I have to say I could not have asked for anyone else to do it. Thank you Tash for supporting me as always.
