Do we have a right to stop China from building man-made island in WEST PHILIPPINE SEA?

I will explain, our territorial land (Philippines) composes the following:

A.. TERRITORIAL WATERS – (12 Nautical Mile) which is means the Philippines has SOVEREIGNTY.

B.. CONTIGOUS ZONE – (24 Nautical Mile) which is means the Philippines may EXCIRCISE CONTROL

C.. EXCLUSIVE ECONOMIC ZONE- (200 Nautical mile) which is means the Philippine has NO SEVEREIGHNTY, only SOVEREIGN RIGHTS.

NOTE: The WEST PHILIPPINE SEA is belonged to our EXCLUSIVE ECONOMIC ZONE.

Now, let’s discuss the LEGAL BASIS, “UNCLOS” or United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea. “UNCLOS” also known as the Constitution of the world’s oceans and seas.

According to “UNCLOS”, we can share our EXLUSIVE ECONOMIC ZONE with other states in two conditions:

1. Abidance by Laws - Foreign state must abide the laws of the state allowing to access to its our EXLUSIVE ECONOMIC ZONE

2. Existence of Surplus - The coastal state must determine its capacity to harvest the living resources; if it cannot harvest the entire allowable catch, it must give other states access to the surplus through agreements.

Now, base on the legal basis, you can now answer whether the Philippines has a right to stop CHINA from building man-made island within our EXCLUSIVE ECONOMIC ZONE (EEZ).
