The Power for People Coalition and over sixty peoples' organizations, civil society groups, and faith-based organizations today filed a letter request at the Department of Energy Philippines urging the DOE to use its declared coal moratorium to put an end to the suffering caused by coal in the Philippines.
The letter was filed 2 days ahead of the National Day of Action Against Coal.
To the DOE: Coal fuels disasters, as we saw at the onslaught of severely devastating typhoons in the past few weeks. It is time to , and implement a total coal moratorium now. !
