The Southeast Asian corporate landscape has demonstrated strong resilience over the past year, effectively weathering global market turbulence and shifting trade dynamics. According to the 2026 rankings by TIME and Statista, companies across the region are not only surviving but actively transforming—focusing on regional integration and technological adoption. This shift is especially visible in the banking sector, where institutions have capitalized on high-interest environments and the rapid integration of artificial intelligence to sustain record profitability. DBS Bank leads the region as the top performer, followed closely by Bank of the Philippine Islands, both recognized for their strong digital transformation and high employee satisfaction.
Beyond finance, conglomerates and tech-driven firms are increasingly shaping Southeast Asia’s economic trajectory. Companies like Ayala Corporation and Sime Darby have successfully navigated inflation through diversified business portfolios. At the same time, the transportation and logistics sector is gaining momentum, with Grab Holdings and Singapore Airlines benefiting from the rebound in regional travel and the expansion of the digital economy. This upward trend is further reinforced by Vingroup, highlighting Vietnam’s growing role in global supply chains and electric vehicle manufacturing.
The region’s top ten companies reflect a broad mix of financial strength, infrastructure development, and digital innovation. Leading the list are DBS Bank and Bank of the Philippine Islands, followed by Maybank and United Overseas Bank. They are joined by Ayala Corporation, BDO Unibank, OCBC Bank, and Vingroup, while the final positions are held by Gamuda and Grab Holdings. Ranked globally at positions 1, 10, 16, 24, 35, 47, 51, 57, 61, and 69 respectively, these firms underscore Southeast Asia’s rising influence within the broader Asia-Pacific economy.
