WITNESSING HISTORY IN THE MAKING. 🇵🇭⚖️

Two full days inside the Senate Impeachment Court, and it was intense.

In fulfillment of our solemn duty as Legal Adviser, it was an honor to be there with our Junior Associate, Atty. Vanessa Marie C. Molino of our firm, Quial Ginez Beltran & Yu Law Offices, as we watched the Prosecution’s second witness, Atty. Jeremy C. Lotoc, former Chief of the NBI Cybercrime Division and now Regional Director of NBI-BARMM, testified in an exhaustive presentation.

It wasn’t just testimony. It was a masterclass in digital forensics, razor-sharp litigation, and relentless advocacy. Every detail mattered. Every hour counted. Being in that chamber reminds us why we fight so hard for precision and truth. The Rule of Law isn’t just words. It’s alive in rooms like this. Humbled and fired up to be part of it.

When legal paths cross again during a defining moment in our nation’s history. 🇵🇭⚖️

On Day 2 of the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte, I had the pleasure of reconnecting with Atty. Lorna Kapunan, now serving as one of the prosecution counsels.

Our professional paths first crossed nearly two decades ago during the highly publicized Hayden Kho–Katrina Halili controversy. We stood on the same side of that legal battle: Atty. Lorna represented Dr. Hayden Kho, while I represented one of his co-respondents.

That case became more than just another legal battle. It helped shape Philippine law, leading to the enactment of Republic Act No. 9995 (Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009), a landmark measure that strengthened privacy and consent protections in the digital age.

It’s always a pleasure to see respected colleagues again, especially when history once more brings us together in the halls of justice.

A Bittersweet Farewell to Our “Bunso” ❤️

Today, we bid a heartfelt farewell to one of the most cherished members of the GQRBLAW family—Monce Sarayno.

To our clients, she was our dependable Billing & Collection Officer. But to us, she will always be our “Bunso”—the youngest in the Firm and a beloved little sister to everyone.

Eight years ago, Monce walked through our doors as a fresh graduate of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), eager to learn and ready to grow. Employment surveys have long recognized PUP graduates among the country’s most employable for their reliability, integrity, diligence, and strong work ethic. Over the past eight years, Monce embodied those qualities every single day. Through her professionalism, loyalty, and unwavering dedication, she became an indispensable part of our Firm’s success and a valued member of our family.
