San Miguel began as a small brewery in Manila in 1890. That history now has a home at our oldest operating plant, where we recently opened the Polo Brewery Museum to help preserve more than 135 years of our heritage.
Inside the museum are original brewing equipment and tools, historic labels, documents, and other artifacts from the company’s early years, along with memories of the people who came before us and whose dedication built the company over generations.
It is a tribute to them and a reminder that even as our company continues to modernize and expand into new industries, the standards of hard work and excellence that defined it from the start remain the same.
For more than a century, San Miguel has been part of the Philippine story. We are grateful to the many Filipinos who have supported us through the years, and we remain committed to doing our part in our country’s continued progress.
