LOOK II PNHS Elects New SSLG officers for SY 2026-2027

Pinayag National High School successfully conducted its Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) Election 2026 on Tuesday, February 17 marking another milestone in student leadership and democratic participation. Learners from Grades 8 to 12 cast their votes to elect their new set of officers who will serve as voices of the student body for the academic year.

Official Results:
President: Crisha Mae Albis — 276 votes (unopposed)
Vice President: Rose Matis — 202 votes
Secretary: Dexine Lindawan — 144 votes
Treasurer: Jesica Habiatan — 163 votes
Auditor: Genevieve Undo — 190 votes
Public Information Officer: Edlyn Abluyan — 143 votes
Protocol Officer: Royet Castaneda — 174 votes

PNHS Family appreciates PTA Officer Representative Maximo Bangunan

The Pinayag National High School Family extends its deepest gratitude to PTA Officer Representative Mr. Maximo Bangunan for his inspiring presence during today’s Flag Ceremony. Standing before the students, he reminded everyone of the true value of education, emphasizing that each learner matters and is considered as a child of the PNHS community.

In his message, he urged students to avoid absences, tardiness, escaping classes, and neglecting the flag ceremony, stressing that discipline and responsibility are key to success. His words carried the warmth of a parent’s care and the firmness of a mentor’s guidance.

Beyond his message, Mr. Bangunan has also volunteered to serve as a guardian around the school premises, ensuring that students attend their classes faithfully. This selfless act of service greatly supports the school in maintaining discipline and helping learners recognize their priorities.

LOOK II Pinayag NHS Holds 3rd Quarter General PTA Meeting and Recognition Day
The Pinayag National High School Multipurpose Gymnasium was filled with parents, teachers, and students as the school conducted its 3rd Quarter General PTA Meeting alongside the 3rd Quarter Recognition Program on Monday, February 9.
Agenda Highlights:
1. 9th Founding Anniversary Preparations
General Director Madam Lory Fe Lupaas presented updates on the upcoming founding anniversary. The final canvassing is set for February 23, 2026, while the grand celebration will take place on February 27, 2026. The day’s program includes the Founding Anniversary Program (AM), Coronation (PM), and the much-awaited JS Promenade (5 PM onwards).
2. Brigada Eskwela Updates
Sir Michael Pilde, Brigada Eskwela Coordinator, announced that the schedule of work will be organized per sitio, with dates to be posted soon. Ongoing projects include the completion of the second floor of the library, construction of garbage pits, and other necessary school repairs.
3. Early Registration for SY 2026–2027
LIS Coordinator Madam May Bell Pilde reported that early registration runs from January 21 to February 27, 2026, focusing on incoming Grade 7, Grade 11, and transferees.
4. Issues and Concerns
The assembly also tackled student-related matters such as proper haircut, uniform compliance, wearing of IDs, and attendance concerns including tardiness, absences, and non-participation in the flag ceremony.
5. JS Promenade Updates
Sir Adonis Velasco confirmed that the food for the JS Promenade will be catered by Bambang Restaurant, ensuring a memorable evening for students.
6. Recognition of Achievers
After the general meeting, parents proceeded to their children’s respective classrooms for the 3rd Quarter Recognition Program. Students were honored for their academic excellence and outstanding performance, with parents proudly witnessing their children’s achievements. #

Through the dedicated mentorship of the following offices:

LOOK | Early Registration for SY 2026–2027 kicks off at Pinayag NHS

Pinayag National High School officially opened its Early Registration for School Year 2026–2027 today, marking the start of preparations for the upcoming academic year.

The activity was facilitated by May Bell C. Pilde, the school’s ICT and LIS Coordinator, who ensured that the registration process was smooth, organized, and accessible to incoming learners.

The early registration aimed to ensure all eligible learners are accounted for ahead of the new school year, provide schools with accurate enrollment data to prepare classrooms, teachers, and resources, and promote inclusivity by encouraging parents and guardians to register children early, especially those from disadvantaged or underserved communities.

Pinayag NHS encourages parents and guardians to take advantage of the early registration period to secure enrollment for their children and help the school plan effectively for SY 2026–2027. #

WORK IMMERSION MONITORING CONTINUES I Day 2 monitoring strengthens in-campus Work Immersion

Pinayag National High School – The second day of monitoring for the In-Campus Work Immersion Program was successfully carried out today, highlighting the school’s commitment to ensuring meaningful and well-guided workplace experiences for senior high school students.

The monitoring, conducted by Glory Smith, Work Immersion Focal Person, and Agustin Hinggangan, Work Immersion Teacher, lasted the whole day and focused on students from the Dressmaking Strand, along with one SMAW student.

Throughout the monitoring, the focal persons observed students’ activities, checked their progress, and provided guidance to ensure that immersion tasks were aligned with the competencies of their respective strands.

This is to ensure student safety and welfare within the school-based work environment, validate the relevance of tasks and training to the skills required in their chosen strands, provide immediate feedback and support, helping students improve their performance and professionalism and strengthens accountability and documentation, affirming the school’s dedication to quality immersion practices.

LOOK I Monitoring ensures support for Immersion Students

The ongoing Work Immersion program of Pinayag National High School students received close monitoring today as part of ensuring quality learning and workplace readiness.

On-site visits were conducted by Glory Smith, Work Immersion Focal Person, together with Agustin Hinggangan, Work Immersion Teacher. The monitoring covered students deployed at the Municipal Local Government Unit (MLGU) Kayapa, specifically the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO), Commission on Elections (COMELEC), Sangguniang Bayan Office (SBO), Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)—workplaces where HUMSS and ABM strand students were assigned. Meanwhile, SMAW strand students were visited at their worksite in TAM-AN Banaue Multipurpose Cooperative (TAM-AN BMPC), Busilac, Bayombong.

The purpose of the monitoring is to ensure student safety and welfare in their respective workplaces, assess the relevance of tasks and experiences to the competencies required by their academic strands, strengthen collaboration with partner institutions by affirming the school’s commitment to quality immersion practices and provide guidance and support to students as they transition from classroom learning to real-world applications.

Both focal persons emphasized that monitoring is not only about checking attendance or compliance but also about affirming students’ growth, professionalism, and readiness for future careers. The visits highlighted the importance of workplace exposure in developing skills such as communication, responsibility, and adaptability.

This initiative reflects the school’s dedication to holistic education, ensuring that immersion experiences are meaningful, safe, and aligned with the Department of Education’s standards. #

LOOK I Pinayag National High School deploys Grade 12 learners for Work Immersion

January 26 - Pinayag National High School announced the successful deployment of its Grade 12 learners for their Work Immersion program, a vital component of the Senior High School curriculum designed to prepare students for real-world careers.
A total of 53 students from various strands were assigned to different offices and institutions according to their chosen career tracks:

19 students from the Academic Track (ABM and HUMSS) were deployed to the Municipal Local Government Unit (MLGU) of Kayapa.

15 from Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) strand were assigned to TAM-AN BMPC in Busilac, Bayombong.

16 from Dressmaking strand, along with 1 SMAW, 1 ABM, and 1 HUMSS, were deployed in-campus since training materials for dressmaking and trainer is available.

The deployment was carefully coordinated by the school’s faculty members. Mr. Agustin Hinggangan, the major teacher for SMAW, supervised the placement of welding students. Ms. Emily Espada, the major teacher for Dressmaking, guided the deployment of dressmaking learners. Meanwhile, Ms. Glory Smith, the Work Immersion Focal Person, facilitated the immersion of students assigned to the MLGU.

This initiative highlights the school’s commitment to equipping learners with practical skills and workplace experience, bridging the gap between classroom learning and professional environments. By immersing students in government offices, cooperatives, and in-campus facilities, Pinayag National High School ensures that its graduates are better prepared to face the challenges of their chosen fields.

The Work Immersion program continues to be a cornerstone of the Senior High School curriculum, fostering not only technical skills but also discipline, adaptability, and professionalism among learners. #
